Would you like to see your church become more effective in reaching unsaved people for Jesus? We can help by providing tools and resources. The TRULY Evangelistic Church training is for pastors and key people from your congregation. The training is offered over the course of three days, MAY 10-12, and includes the following seminars: Good Soil Basic Hooks for Hanging OT/NT Storylines Trainer Certification May 10-11: Monday-Tuesday Good Soil Basic Learn to use the Good Soil evangelism and discipleship scale, the worldview onion peeling model, how to use The Story of Hope and The Way to Joy (and other similar resources) and much more. Includes lunch, snacks, and instructional resources. Hooks for Hanging OT/NT Storylines Offered on Monday and Tuesday evenings, these “Hooks” workshops are designed to help you teach participants to grasp an overview of the Old Testament and the New Testament in two one-hour sessions. Includes dinner and instructional resources May 12: Wednesday Good Soil Trainer Certification Learn and become certified to lead basic Good Soil E&D seminars in your church and gain access to all of the necessary documents and files needed to present the seminar. Receive training on how to implement The Twelve Essentials of a TRULY Evangelistic Church in your ministry. Includes lunch, snacks, and instructional resources. Location This seminar will be held at the ABWE International Headquarters in New Cumberland, PA. Daily Schedule Morning Session 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Lunch 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Afternoon Session 1:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m Monday and Tuesday only--Hooks Old Testament and New Testament Supper 5:00-6:00 p.m. Evening Session 6:00-7:00 p.m. Check In The check-in process will begin 30 minutes prior to the first session of each seminar. You will receive a name tag which will identify you as a registered attendee. Dress Your dress and grooming should be appropriate for the professional workplace. The environment at ABWE is “business-casual.” ABWE employees are expected to practice sound judgment when selecting attire that is suitable for the business environment and ensure a neat, clean, professional, and business-like image at all times. Temperatures in the training rooms can vary, so you may want to bring a light sweater or jacket. AccommodationsHotel information will be added at a later date. ABWE personnel who stay at one of the hotels need to pay the hotel and request reimbursement through Missionary Finance. ABWE Guest Services also has a block of rooms reserved for participants in the Security Training Event. Guestrooms are located on the ABWE property and include private baths, a self-serve continental breakfast, cable TV and internet. The price is $40 for the first night and $30 for each additional night. To make a reservation, please contact Karen Hamrick at [email protected] for a reservation form. The block of rooms will be released two weeks prior to the training event, so secure your reservation early. Child Care We encourage families with children to arrange for childcare at home, or to bring a family member who can watch their children in the hotel or guest room. For those who have infants, or who are unable to find caregivers, we are glad to provide childcare (for ABWE personnel only) for a fee, for children four years old and younger. Requests must be made to the event coordinator ([email protected]) no less than three weeks prior to the event so childcare workers can be scheduled. Please note that we cannot provide or accommodate child care for non-ABWE personnel site during these seminars. Meals Lunch and breaks will be provided each day of the event. You will be responsible for your own breakfast and dinner. An expanded continental breakfast is included in your room fee and several restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. Transportation ABWE is not able to provide transportation for this event. Please make all of your own travel arrangements. NOTICE OF CONSENT TO PHOTOGRAPH We often take photos of Good Soil seminars that are in progress for use in promoting Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship. Photographs taken during this event may or may not include your recognizable image.
