Talons of Spring with Fat Randy ALL AGES Talons of Spring with Fat Randy (CT) Talons of Spring is an indie psych rock band based in Portland, Maine. We are currently playing shows in and around Portland and preparing for a tour across the East Coast: Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, NH, and NYC. Band members: Justin Brown - Rhythm guitar, John Nels Blanchette - Lead guitar, Ian Riley – Bass, Dan Capaldi – Drums, Ahmad Hassan – Keys, Renee Coolbrith - Other vocals, Andrei Tutunaru - Lead vocals. https://talonsofspring.bandcamp.com/ Fat Randy was conceived on some night in 2015 by Stephen (guitar/vocalist) and Connor (drums) at some time between eating mystery casserole served at the University of Connecticut dining hall closest to the most discreet location to smoke weed and Stephen putting Fritos on all his finger-tips because he’s having a weed-induced anxiety attack, but forgot his inhaler in his minivan. After realizing he would have quite a bit of spare time on his hands now that he had decided not to drive himself down to New Mexico, Steve (bass) joined the band later that year.
