Learn beginning bookbinding techniques and create a journal to take home
We will create a handbound book with an exposed spine and covered with handmade paper. This creates a decorative journal that lays flat for ease of use. If there is enough time we will decorate the covers of the books, feel free to bring any pictures or images you want to decorate the book with. Not everybody will finish with enough time to decorate the cover of the book. We will go over the different types of items that can be glued onto covers and what types of glues to use.
This class is suitable for those with no bookbinding experience.
Instructor is Becky from Becky's Paper Creations. She is a paper and fiber artist living in Seattle.
