Lead Sing song writer w/songs looking to form band

Hi there, My name is Stu- a seasoned singer song writer in my 50’s with an extreme amount of youthful exuberance left. Looking to put together a rock band in the genre of The Killers, U2 & maybe even a little Modern twist on Depeche Mode/ The Cure & Janes Addiction with a bit of a mild Rockabilly Twist. A couple of covers would be smart to start out with. I’m thinking like doing Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus… See what that sounds like. Looking to write songs that people would love to listen to loud as well as some slower tracks with deep resonance and soul which also means the volume of the music is interpreted by the room size… : ) Would like to rehearse in Midtown as there is a lot of rehearsal space which we’d split in terms of cost… I’d like to try & play out a few times a month once we’ve played & If we’re good enough pursue some avenues.
