Readers on the River is a two-day reader event featuring panels and parties, a special plated luncheon with J.R. Ward, a signing with all attending authors, a 1,001 Dark Nights/Blue Box Press Sparkler, swag and surprises for all attendees! Our most current author lineup (*subject to change at any time) can be found here: https://readersontheriver.com/the-lineup/ COVID-19 Event Protocol:The health and safety of our ROR guests + staff is our top priority. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic (and subsequent variants), we will be regularly monitoring CDC + WHO guidance for our event. If needed, we will be requiring attendees to wear masks within all event spaces during the entire duration of our programming/events (including registration) in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus. If a masking policy is in place for our event, we will communicate this via email, our website, social media pages, as well as with posted signage onsite. Additionally, we will refuse entry/access to any person(s) ages 2 and up not wearing a mask/face covering entering and/or within the event spaces should this policy be in place. Note: Masks/face coverings should cover the wearer’s nose and mouth. FAQsWhat is the ticket cost? The total cost per ticket will be $200.39 each. This will include the $189 base price, and the $11.39 ticket service fee (per ticket). All major credit cards will be accepted. How many tickets can be purchased per transaction? There is a TWO (2) ticket limit per transaction. Are there any ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? There are no age restrictions for entry, however, we want to make it clear that there will be strong/suggestive language that may be used during panels/events. There will also be alcohol served at some of the social events, so please be sure to bring a government-issued I.D. for verification if you plan to drink on-site. Where can we access info for the hotel room block? The link for the room block will be available via the Eventbrite confirmation page/email that appears after you've completed purchase. We want to give priority to those who have secured a ROR 2022 ticket first. Here's more info on the room block: - Room block rate will be $175 per night, plus applicable taxes and fees.*This room rate is only guaranteed for rooms booked within the ROR 2022 room block. - Once the room block is sold out, there may still be additional rooms available at the event hotel that may be at a different/higher rate. - To reserve your room, you will need to provide a credit card. Your card will not be charged at time of booking--it is only needed to hold your room. - The direct link for the ROR '22 room block will be first available via your Eventbrite confirmation page/email. In other words, you will need to secure a ticket for the event in order to access the link. What can I bring into the event? Even though we will have a bookseller on-site selling titles by our attending authors, you will still be allowed to bring in books from home for the signing itself. If you plan to bring any carts, we ask that you only bring vertical/upright carts. Wagons and suitcases are not permitted. *Exceptions will be made for attendees who require accessibility/medical concerns. We ask that ticket holders with accessibility or medical concerns reach out to our event team via email at [email protected] ASAP so we may accommodate. What's the refund policy? Tickets are non-refundable, but are fully transferable until September 9th, 2022. *Shortly after tickets go on sale, we will post a ticket thread via our Facebook group where tickets can be resold (through September 9th, 2022). Due to the fact that tickets will be non-refundable, we will not have a waitlist. However, if you’re unable to get tickets before the event sells out, we invite you to check out our ticket thread (in the Facebook group) as we anticipate ticket holders will need to resell tickets due to cancelations, scheduling conflicts, etc. For our previous events, we had tickets become available (via the ticket thread) as late as the week before the event took place, so don’t fret if you’re not able to get a ticket right away! What is the event schedule? We will post the event schedule in late spring 2022 via our website: readersontheriver.com. Readers on the River is a reader event brought to you by Liz Berry and M.J. Rose, the Co-Founders of 1,001 Dark Nights, and author J.R. Ward.
