ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN – SOLID WASTE APPLY ONLINE AND ATTACH COVER LETTER, RESUME, LETTERS OF REFERENCE & COPIES OF CERTIFICATIONS Posting Closes NOVEMBER 30, 2021 THE POSITION will act as part of the hazardous materials response team as well as maintain, construct, operate and monitor leachate collection, surface water, ground water, landfill gas and hazardous waste management systems, and other environmental issues for the Kootenai County Solid Waste Department. • $22.11 to $26.27 per hour depending on experience • Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI) a pension plan with five year vesting, 11.94% employer contribution, and lifetime payout upon retirement. • Excellent and comprehensive benefits package. DO YOU QUALIFY? • Do you have an Associate’s degree or Applied Associates degree or certification from a two-year college or professional/technical school or program in Chemistry, Biology, Sanitation, or Environmental Science? • Do you have a minimum of 48 months related experience and/or training? • Do you possess or have the ability to possess a valid commercial driver’s license (Class B) and are you insurable? • Do you possess or have the ability to possess certifications required on the job description? • Are you able to meet the minimum physical fitness standards for this position and be respirator fitted?
