Special thanks for the support of Acclivus, Inc. *Mandatory COVID testing On-site GLMPI Girls Like Me Project believes that although African-American girls are disproportionately targeted by devaluing stereotypes and media messages of misogyny, self-hate, and destructive behavior that adversely normalizes circumstances of poverty and violence, a strong sense of self-efficacy and awareness can transform them into change agents for social good. GLMPI mission is to liberate urban African-American girls ages 11-16 through our self discovery, media literacy programming which helps them overcome stigmas and negative stereotypes to become influential, independent digital-storytellers. We partner with organizations and institutions to help them better serve Black girls. Our power is in equipping girls with the tools that transform communities and foster global sisterhood.
