We invite all NLCCC Committee members, friends and family to The Morton Arboretum's "Illumination" event.
The Morton Arboretum has generously provided tickets for their annual "Illumination" event to the GROWSS committee. We would like to extend this invitation to the entire NLCCC family and invite you to walk along a mile-long path to gaze at the illuminated trees in a beautiful show of light, color and sound. Along the way there will be concession stands, music and other seasonal accompaniments.
This is a great opportunity for all NLCCC Committee members to gather in fellowship, see the tree installation, and imagine what we can all bring back to North Lawndale.
We will be at the UCAN parking lot (3605 W. Filmore)between 3-4pm to distribute tickets and engage in some family-friendly tailgating with cookies and hot cocoa. It is about a 40 minute drive to the Morton Arboretum, and visitors typically spend about two hours viewing the exhibit. We encourage car pooling and can help arrange rides for those who need one.
