Dennis Smith served two terms as State Representative for Maple Grove. Over his tenure, he received numerous awards for his zealous protection of consumer rights, Minnesota businesses, and the environment. He was known for his diligence, fairness and dedication to liberty and freedom. His colleagues dubbed him “The Top Cop in the House.” Dennis grew up in White Bear Lake. His father ran a milk delivery service. He spent many hours of his youth helping his father in his milk truck. Over his teenage years he won multiple national championships in BMX racing.
