Description

Join Wander Women and instructor (and guide!) Olivia for a day full of yoga, relaxation and time in nature Join Wander Women and instructor (and guide!) Olivia for a day full of yoga, relaxation and time in nature. Held at the Walnut Woods State Park Lodge, this retreat will feature two yoga classes, individual time for meditation, a guided or solo hike through the woods, and a communal supper, complete with a traditional Wander Women fire circle. During this retreat we ask: What do you need to feel well today? We'll use that answer to help guide us through the day's practices and moments, connecting with yourself and others. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or have never been to a class, you are welcome at this retreat. Both yoga classes will offer varying options for challenge, no judgment, and a focus on feeling good. The meditation time will be driven by what you need, whether that's walking, drawing, listening to music, reading tarot, or anything that brings you back to balance. We'll gather together in the evening for a cozy dinner with new friends, a reflective fire circle and maybe a smore or two. This retreat is focused on empowerment and balance, and so Olivia has developed a tiered payment structure designed to be accessible to all. From Olivia: "I want to intentionally create space for folks like me who feel uncomfortable in most yoga classes, because the music is strange and I don't spend money on yoga clothes, and my body doesn't do the things that person's body does and everyone is always white. This will not be that. Folks should come as they are. I certainly will. The practice of yoga can be deeply healing to body and soul - something everyone should have access to. One of my biggest teachers since becoming an instructor is Yoga Is Dead - check them out. "In my yoga practice, I prioritize accessibility not only in the way I teach, but also in the way I charge. This weekend (through midnight Sunday), registration will open early to anyone who feels that they've been kept from the practice of yoga for whatever reason: body shape/size, ability, color, funds, to name a few. Pay what you can or believe this retreat is worth, ideally between $50- $100. On Monday, registration will open to everyone at $150. I can't wait to practice with you all!"
