Join us for a 5k run/walk around Lake San Marcos! $15 suggested donation will be gifted to local Discovery Elementary families in need. Open to all! Gates open at 8:30am and the 5K run/walk will commence at 9am. Enjoy beverages from local businesses Old Cal Coffee, Ascend Roasters and Alkaline Water Source San Marcos. Suggested donation of $15 per household will be donated to Discovery Elementary families in need this holiday season. I UNDERSTAND THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT IS POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS, AND THAT A REGISTERED PARTY SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE UNLESS THEY ARE MEDICALLY ABLE AND PROPERLY TRAINED. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT EVENTS MAY BE HELD OVER PUBLIC ROADS AND FACILITIES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC DURING THE EVENT AND UPON WHICH HAZARDS ARE TO BE EXPECTED. PARTICIPATION CARRIES WITH IT CERTAIN INHERENT RISKS THAT CANNOT BE ELIMINATED COMPLETELY RANGING FROM MINOR INJURIES TO CATASTROPHIC INJURIES INCLUDING DEATH. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT IN CONSIDERATION OF BEING PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT, YOU AND ANY REGISTERED PARTY, THE HEIRS, PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES OR ASSIGNS OF YOU OR THE REGISTERED PARTY DO HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE DISCOVERY ELEMENTARY PTO, DANIELS HOME COLLECTIVE, THE LODGE AT LAKE SAN MARCOS AND LAKE SAN MARCOS SECURITY PATROL FOR ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT BY YOU OR ANY REGISTERED PARTY. I, the undersigned, intend to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against the Discovery Elementary, The Lodge at Lake San Marcos, and all promoters, sponsors, and their sponsors and their representative successors. I have trained for the competition of this event and my physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my photographs, video, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that the entry donation is non-refundable and non-transferable.
