Come Jam in the Park! Playing - singing - having fun. We have built a core of regulars, and we have had a couple of other folks stop in, some saying they'll be back another time. If you play an acoustic instrument, percussion, or just want to sing, think about looking us up.
We are meeting Thursday mornings at Crossroads Park behind Wheeler Taft Abbett Library near Cortaro and Silverbell. There is a ramada directly behind the library. Listen for us.
We are:
- Not terrible, not great
- Not judgemental
- Ukulele, guitar, voice, so far
- Fun focused
- Fans of easy, popular music
- Trading proficiency for adventure
- Not generally sheet music readers
- Even less organized than you can imagine (We play "Imagine")
There's a handful of songs we are working on. We like Rock, Country, Jazz Standards, Traditionals, more. Someone plays or introduces something new every time we have gotten together. You don't have to play a song you don't want to play or sing. You can also come play a song we have never heard before. Bring music, and a few of us can play rhythm or comp behind you.
Email please with questions, or an additional meeting time you might suggest. Keep an eye on the header of this post to see when we have a Hoot organized.
No need to RSVP - show up and see if it's a fit.
