Venezuelan Gaitas hit the Main Street Stage at The Doral Yard
The Doral Yard is thrilled to bring Venezuelan gaitas to The Main Street Stage on Wednesday, December 23rd starting at 7:30 p.m.
Gaitas, a traditional holiday genre, features an ensemble of musicians playing everything from percussion and mandolin to maracas and cuatro guitar along with high-energy, festive vibes. Musicians joining the Main Street Stage for Gaitas at The Yard include:
** Henry Linarez: Cuatro venezolano y voz (Venezuelan cuatro and Singer)
** Miguel Hernández: Batería y Percusión (Drums and Percussion)
** José Francisco Montes: Contrabajo (Double Bass)
** Leonardo Cardozo: Mandolina y voz (Mandolin and Singer)
** Debbie Cardozo: Voz (Singer)
** Rebeca González: Voz líder (Lead Singer)
To fuel your dancing, grab eats from savory and sweet culinary vendors at The Doral Yard, including traditional Venezuelan Christmas treat, pan de jamon from The Doral Yard culinary vendor, un pollo. Enjoy refreshing cocktails, beer or wine from The Bar at The Yard, including a special-priced ($10) holiday cocktail, Spiced Pear Punch, made with Havana Club Blanco, Bartlett pear, apple cider honey, lemon, spiced bitters and garnished with a cinnamon stick and apple slice, available throughout December.
This event is free, but seating is first come-first served basis and due to social distancing rules, we have capacity restrictions, so please arrive early to make sure you get a table.
Masks are a must for this socially-distanced event!
