Man Arrested, Charged In Connection With Oct. 22 Lowell Murder

LOWELL, MA —A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with an Oct. 22 Lowell murder, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson said. Wesley Lindor, 22, was charged in connection with the murder of Stedman Tucker, 30, the officials said. At 6:16 p.m. Oct. 22, Lowell police received multiple 911 calls about shots fired and a person injured on Barker Avenue in Lowell. Police found the victim in the passenger seat of an SUV with apparent gunshot wounds. Lowell Firefighters and Trinity EMS attempted to save the victim. He was taken to Lowell General Hospital and later pronounced dead. "The subsequent investigation revealed that the victim was seated in the car when the defendant allegedly approached the vehicle," officials said. " The two men, who were known to each other, reportedly had a brief verbal exchange before the defendant allegedly opened the door of the vehicle, shot the victim and fled the scene." Investigators interviewed witnesses, viewed surveillance video and collected foresnic evidence to identify the alleged shooter, officials said. The defendant was arrested at a Boston home Friday morning. Lindor was arraigned Friday in Lowell District Court on charges of murder and carrying a gun. He was held without bail. The next court date is Dec. 6. Lindor was arraigned today in Lowell District Court on charges of murder and carrying a firearm. Judge John Coffey ordered the defendant held without bail. The next date in this case is December 6, 2021. The Middlesex District Attorney's Office and state and lowell police are investigating the case. Boston police assisted with the arrest Friday morning.
