NEWTON, MA — A Newton artist will have her work featured at this year's CraftBoston Holiday, the Northeast's premier juried craft show.
Sherit Levin, a former student at Rhode Island School of Design, specializes in devoré velvet scarves, which are meticulously hand-dyed, hand-painted, and inspired by visits to her extended family in Israel.
The 2021 CraftBoston Holiday, presented by Boston's Society of Arts + Crafts, will remain completely virtual yet still offer plenty of one-of-a-kind and limited edition gifts. This year's show will run longer than ever before, opening November 12 and closing after January 30.
"By providing access to a well-respected destination show like ours, without the costs of booth rental, travel and lodging, CraftBoston Holiday offers artists an incredible opportunity to showcase their work to a nationwide audience without the overhead an in-person event requires," said Bridgitte Martin, Executive Director of Boston's Society of Arts + Crafts, in a statement. "As a result, we provide a supportive platform for a wider variety of artists to reach buyers and tell their stories."
The 2021 CraftBoston Holiday is shoppable at this link and will be fully live on opening day.
