Car Fire Shuts Westbound LIE

Description

A portion of the westbound Long Island Expressway was closed in Nassau County Friday night because of a vehicle on fire, authorities said. Traffic was initially diverted to the service road between Exit 34 and Exit 33, but traffic camera footage shows the HOV lane now open to vehicles. It's unclear if anyone was injured.
