WYANDANCH, NY — A 19-year-old was shot in the neck and injured Thursday night, Suffolk County police said. According to police, the West Islip teen was in a vehicle on South 36th Street in Wyandanch at about 8:30 p.m. when he was shot. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
