Press release from the Housatonic Campus News: November 4, 2021 In connection with National STEM/STEAM Day on Monday, November 8th, Housatonic Community College (HCC) will present STEAMFest 2021 with a theme of 'Helping Everyone Reach For The Stars'. A series of engaging space-themed discussions and activities are planned, including lectures by NASA scientists and star watching parties. HCC's 5th annual STEAMfest initiative celebrates knowledge and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The events for students and faculty will take place on November 8, 9, and 11, and the public is invited to attend livestream events by visiting www.housatonic.edu/steamfest2021, online registration is required. HCC's STEAMfest 2021 series is presented with significant funding from Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company and Pitney Bowes. The two organizations are long-time champion supporters for students in STEAM at Housatonic Community College, and have helped to make HCC's STEAM Center of Excellence possible. "We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements in STEM/STEAM fields with this impactful lineup that is sure to inspire our scholars and the community at large to reach for the stars while keeping their feet on the ground.
