An event for Adoptive and Guardianship Families
Bring your adoptive/guardianship family to the beautiful Schlitz Audubon Nature Center for a guided snowshoeing tour.
Snowshoe Hike: Explore the world of winter in the beautiful setting of our forests, fields, and lakes by snowshoe! With snowshoes strapped on your feet, participants will embark on a winter exploration by examining the tracks and signs winter creatures leave behind. Snowshoeing is of course weather dependent – if there is not enough snow, there will be a guided winter hike (w/o the snowshoes).
Word with a Bird: After your snowshoe hike, make sure to stop and visit with one or two of our ambassadors (birds of prey), from our Raptor Program from 1-2pm!
I know you will want to join us for our "Snow Daze" Family Event!
*Note*, the smallest snowshoe is a small adult size but can be adjusted to fit most children 10 and older. This event is outdoors so be sure to bundle up! (Please arrive by 12:45 to allow time to fit your snowshoes).
