TOMS RIVER, NJ — A crash overnight that brought down a utility pole is continuing to disrupt traffic in Toms River Friday morning, according to authorities. Route 9 is closed in both directions between Sunset Avenue and Clayton Avenue, an alert from the Ocean County Sheriff's Office said. The road will remain closed until further notice, the alert said. The state Department of Transportation said the crash took down a utility pole and wires. No additional details on the crash were immediately available.
