PENINSULA SERVICES IS HIRING FOR COMMISSARY STORE WORKER, Part-Time BANGOR COMMISSARY People with disabilities and protected veterans are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given preference in the hiring process. Job Type: Part Time, Regular Employee, Non-Exempt Wage: $18.02 per hour + $4.22 H&W benefit per hour Benefits: paid sick leave, paid vacation leave, and 401(k) Mid Shift: 3:30pm-10:00pm or until job is completed Important details: Actual available work hours vary according to business needs and daily workload. You must be able to work weekends and holidays, as needed. The Commissary is open 7 days a week, and most stockers will work 5 days a week. Employees are trained during the evening shift. Hours may vary due to workload. This is NOT a Cashiering position! Closes: OPEN UNTIL FILLED Essential duties include but are not limited to: Shelf Stocking: Receive, store, relocate, distribute, fill, rotate, and face shelves with stock. Material Handling: Operate or able to learn forklift, identify and transport merchandise as directed. Warehouse: Comply with Commissary storage procedures, maintain inventory, sort or segregate incoming merchandise. Janitorial: Perform all general custodial duties at the Commissary if needed. Qualifications: Must be able to work a rotating schedule that may include evenings, holidays, and weekends. Forklift Driver experience preferred. Must be able to successfully complete our forklift driver training program or already have a current forklift driver’s certification. Basic knowledge of shipping/warehouse procedures and regulations preferred. At least two years’ experience as a warehouse team member preferred. Must be able to read and write English fluently. This position also has specific physical requirements which are listed in the Position Description. All employees must successfully complete federal and state background checks, pre-employment drug screening and provide evidence of qualification to work in the US and on a military base.
