Songwriter dreams of bringing Power Pop or Folk to the Stage

Hello all you talented (or untalented) musicians of Craigslist! I moved to Seattle a few years ago and have been in a few bands since then, but we always seem to shift direction or peter out - and of course the pandemic hasn't helped. However, my love of power pop and folk has never petered out, and I'm still dreaming of bringing that to the stage. I'm 31, play guitar, bass, banjo, and some keys, and have a decent singing voice. Plenty of on stage experience. I'd love to meet other musicians (especially drummers - what wannabe guitarist doesn't love good drummers) and start a new project! I would love to play music in the power pop/indie rock vein - some bands I love in that regard are Nada Surf, Wolf Parade, SSLBY, Los Campesinos!, STRKR... Music that gets people moving but still has that lovely melancholy edge to it. (I also love old school punk, but am less interested in playing exclusively that style for the time being) I'm also really into folk, especially the gorgeous indie folk that was popular when I was in college - Breathe Owl Breathe is a big love. Would be so excited to find a strings player that can sing to write gorgeous sad folk songs together So I'm pulled in either direction and would like to meet people who are also interested in those style to try and put something together!
