AUSTIN, TX — A 19-year-old is dead after police say he was found with multiple gunshot wounds at a southwest Austin mobile home park Thursday night.
Police were called to Country Aire Mobile Home Park at 8220 State Hwy 71 around 6 p.m. Thursday after a neighbor called reporting they heard gunshots and saw the victim, according to Officer Alexandra Park, an Austin police spokesperson.
When officers arrived, they found the 19-year-old victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Parker said. The victim's identity has not been released at this time.

Officials said it is unclear if the victim was a resident in the area.
Authorities did not identify a suspect Thursday in connection the shooting at this time. Parker said police believe the incident was isolated and is not a threat to the general public.

APD says this is the city's 79th homicide of 2021, and this is at least the second homicide to happen on Thursday in the city.
