Description
Hello!
It seems that many people find it difficult to make friends as an adult—especially if you’re introverted
...or are new to a city
...or if it’s been a long time since you’ve socialized regularly because of things like schedules or, you know, a global pandemic.
I’m pursing an MFA in Interaction Design and have started working on my thesis, a project I’m centering on community and human connection—specifically around developing new relationships. At this very early stage I’m testing my hypothesis:
**Introverts are willing to meet strangers**
(I think it’s true, but I don’t think it’s easy!)
That said...
I’m looking for 6 woman-identifying people to join me for coffee/tea on Capitol Hill on Monday 11/8 to participate in a chat about community. Yup, that’s it! I know it’s hard for introverts to step out of their comfort zone and meet strangers (small talk is the bane of my existence too), but this hour and a half will be a deeper discussion with room to participate both verbally and non.
Please respond via email if interested with times you’re available: morning, afternoon, evening. **Like I said, I’m looking for 6 introverted women-identifying people to have a small-group conversation about community.** If you are an introverted person that is curious but needs a nudge, feel free to bring a plus one. (Just let me know in your response.) Also, all ages are welcome, but must be open-minded and kind.
(Coffee or tea on me! Location to be shared in email response.)
Thank you :)
