SANTA MONICA, CA — For the first time in 11 years, tired but elated LA Marathon runners will touch down in Century City rather than Santa Monica, due to a desire to give more space for runners and sponsoring organizations. However, many streets, freeways, and freeway ramps near the city will be closed for much of Sunday. Many streets will also be open to local traffic only. 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Santa Monica Boulevard from Wilshire Boulevard to Sepulveda Boulevard. 5 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.: Sepulveda Boulevard from Santa Monica Boulevard to Wilshire Boulevard. 5 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.: Wilshire Boulevard from Sepulveda Boulevard to Barrington Avenue. 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.: San Vicente Boulevard from Wilshire Boulevard to Saltair Avenue. The following West LA streets will be closed to non-residents: 5 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.: Beverly Glen Boulevard from Wilshire Boulevard to Santa Monica Boulevard 5 a.m. to 2:05 p.m.: Westwood Boulevard from Wilshire Boulevard to Santa Monica Boulevard 5 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.: Massachusetts Avenue from Sepulveda Boulevard to Cotner AvenueOhio Avenue from Sepulveda Boulevard to Cotner Avenue 5 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.: Barrington Avenue from Montana Avenue to Dorothy Street 5 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.: Montana Avenue from Birmingham Avenue to Bundy DriveBundy Drive from Dunoon Lane to Montana Avenue From 4:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., ramps on the southbound 405 Freeway will be closed at Santa Monica Boulevard and east- and west-bound Wilshire Boulevard. The northbound 405 ramp to west Wilshire Boulevard will also be closed.
