CHATHAM, NJ — During the month of October, there were 38 Chatham Borough residents who tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the 2021 total to 415, according to Chatham Borough officials. "We are encouraging non-vaccinated residents to quarantine after travel per CDC guidelines," said Chatham Borough Administrator Stephen Williams, a spokesperson for the borough. In the final few days of the month, Oct. 28 to 31, five residents tested positive for COVID. Among those individuals, one was under the age of 11 and four were older than 21. September additionally saw one fatality from COVID among borough residents, bringing the total deaths in Chatham Borough from the illness to 11, since the start of the pandemic.
