KANE COUNTY, IL —A 28-year-old suburban woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in unincorporated Hampshire Township. The collision happened at about 1:40 p.m. when a Ford Focus headed east on Big Timber Road near the intersection of Sandwald Road crossed into the westbound lane of traffic and drove off the roadway, according to the Kane County Sheriff's Office news release. Niebrzydowski, 28, of Norridge, was pronounced deceased at the scene. An initial investigation shows the Ford appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
