NEWARK, CA — The Newark Police Department is warning drivers about a road closure on Saturday. Thornton Avenue between Gateway Boulevard and Marshlands Road will be closed eastbound from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A detour will be in place. Westbound traffic through this area will be open at all times.
