Press release from the University of Toledo: 2021-11-05 As the weather is getting colder, a student organization at The University of Toledo is hosting a winter clothing drive to help fellow students and staff in need of winter coats and other gear. The Environmental Graduate Students and the Office of Student Advocacy and Support set up drop boxes for donations of gently used winter coats, hats, scarves and gloves. The drive runs through Friday, Nov. 12, and drop-off locations include: • Main entrance to Bowman-Oddy Laboratories; • Main entrance to Wolfe Hall; and • Nitschke Hall Room 1045. Clothing will be available for pick up by UToledo students and staff from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at a location to be announced next week. No sign up or registration is necessary. "We noticed a need for warm clothing amongst our peers and colleagues," said Jorden McKenna, a graduate student earning her master's degree in biology in the Department of Environmental Sciences and coordinator of the clothing drive. "We decided the best solution was to organize an event that was accessible to everyone. The Office of Student Advocacy has helped our ideas come to fruition. We hope that the UToledo community supports and utilizes the drive so it can continue for years to come." This press release was produced by the University of Toledo.
