Primary Responsibilities Performs basic carpentry and general labor skills, supervises other carpenters or helpers and manages time on the job site efficiently. Coordinates construction activities on site and with other trades. Interprets construction drawings and technical installation documents. Ensures that the Production Manager is updated daily on materials, tools, staffing needs and progress of the job. Coordinates and/or picks up small supplies when needed. Team oriented - ability to delegate and willing to do what is necessary to get things done, ability to work independently or as a team member. Good communication skills - maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees. Promotes and encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately. Schedule may include some Saturdays. Requirements: Experience in residential construction/remodeling, 7+ years (required). Experience in construction management, 1 year (required). Strong carpentry skills include framing, boxing, siding, installing windows and doors, deck building, additions and tie-in to existing structures as well as finish skills. Good knowledge of building codes and the trades - drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, tile, flooring, etc. Able to pass a background check and drug test. Able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach stand, kneel and climb/work from ladders safely. Able to work with people with diverse backgrounds, skills, beliefs. Professional in appearance and action. Must have own truck. Must have valid driver's license.
