Bass Player Looking For Something Better

Description

Middle aged player, over 20 years as a full time musician. Worked with many cover bands, over the past few years have focused on three such bands doing service clubs, music clubs, community events and special occasions. The money has been very good but the performances have been becoming more and more lackluster. Sadly the other players in the bands don't seem to put time into their craft. Bad habits become worse and problems do not get corrected. So, I've served out the notice with two of the bands and am preparing to do so with the last one. It's sad, because I like all these people in these groups and will miss them. And that is what I'm looking for, one band with people that put time into their music. I practice daily, often playing along to studio albums to keep the chops and meter up. I come to rehearsal gig-ready. Have multiple instruments, multiple stage amps, redundant accessories and reliable transportation. Can play any day, small or large venues or just record. Startups are fine if it will improve my chances to get with the right people. Rock, Rockabilly, Country, Blues, Soul, Reggae, Jazz Standards, World, Dance Music. Bass players that inspired me with their parts: Keith Ferguson (Fabulous Thunderbirds), Richard Cousins (Robert Cray), Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones), Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads), Pete Farndon (Pretenders), Andy Rourke (Smiths), Colin Moulding (XTC), Graham Maby (Joe Jackson), Sting (Sting/Police), Bruce Thomas (The Attractions), Michael Anthony (Van Halen), Tom Sholtz (Boston), Geddy Lee (Rush), Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie), James Jamerson (Motown), Donald Duck Dunn (Stax), all the great Country/Rockabilly/Jazz/Reggae/Afro-Cuban/World players that I luckily come across to learn from.
