Description

Degreed drummer with nearing 50 years of playing experience is looking for talented musicians to play ROCK AND ROLL. Let me clarify. I am NOT talking about playing "The Middle" or "Closing Time". I am NOT talking about playing the same old, horribly boring and overplayed songs like "Don't Stop Believing." or "Roll and Roll All Nite". I love music! ALL music...but that doesn't mean I want to play it live. Live, I want to rock. Yes, I want to play songs that the audience will know but that doesn't mean it has to be the same list of songs played every single weekend all over the place! Take Journey. How many other songs do they have that people know that are much more fun to play and aren't played to DEATH! Plenty! And I am NOT talking about "Separate Ways" or "Faithfully". Where is the variety people??? Take Bryan Adams. Oh my god...is "Summer of '69" the only song he wrote?? God no! He has plenty of driving rock songs that audiences know and would appreciate if played well. Sometimes I think bands are just being safe and lazy. So what am I looking for? I would love to find a singer, (male and female would be perfect) keyboardist/guitarist, guitarist and bassist so join me in putting together a real rock and roll band that is faithful to the original songs (that means you learn the actual guitar solo instead of making up one guitarists) that play songs people know and love but aren't being played by everyone else. I would prefer everyone be able to sing back up or lead as well. More voices, better presentation! (IF they are good singers) And there will be NO BACKING TRACKS!!!!!!! I am not picky about when it was written as a great song is a great song..but it better stand up to the classics. And it has to make people move!! Bad Company Bachman-Turner Overdrive Alice Cooper Lynyrd Skynyrd Loverboy Bryan Adams Deep Purple Led Zeppelin AC/DC Aerosmith Alice In Chains April Wine Allman Brothers America Pat Benatar Blue Oyster Cult Blondie David Bowie Cars Cheap Trick Cream Def Leppard Dokken Doobie Brothers Eagles Foreigner Peter Frampton Foghat Peter Frampton Sammy Hagar Grand Funk Railroad Guess Who Hall & Oates Heart Huey Lewis & the News Billy Idol.......just to get started are bands that are in play.......you get the idea. Can it happen? Get the right people with the right mindset and it most certainly can. If you are a musician who is tired of playing the same old crap and want to create something fun, powerful and most of all musical, drop me a line and let's talk. I am really a very nice guy (after all the venting I just did)..who doesn't drink, doesn't smoke but still takes his music and his playing extremely seriously. I am down to earth and a lot of fun. I am just exceptionally picky at my age as to what it will take to drag my gear out of my home and play out in public again. While I have a lot of problems with what is being played these days, I wish ALL musicians success at whatever they are doing. That being said, it doesn't mean I have to do the same thing. Peace!
