Born in the Steel Citybut grew up in Jackson, Mississippi where being diverse was the best way to standout. Yargates was a powerhouse guitarist in Jacksonbefore moving to Austin, Texas in 2014. He had previously lived in Austin (2007) where he attended college after living a year in New York City. Yargates has been in several bands and on several different instruments. From the drummer in a punk band to a mandolin player in a bluegrass group, Yargates is more than proficcient as a multi-instumentalist. Since going solo, Yargates has remained high on local charts and has toured Europe and parts of Canada, With idols like Beck, Prince and Jimi Hendrix, Yargates has a little something for everyone. Yargates, a singer/songwriter with astonishing guitar chops, has found tons of success in the Texas music market, dominating Austin, as well as the entire Southeastern region with his blend of Americana & Folk Rock music.
