The duties and responsibilities of a laborer are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe and efficient Job site while also supporting the overall project. The list of duties and responsibilities for a laborer on any given day may include the following: Cleaning and preparing Job site. Loading and unloading materials and equipment. Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes. Operating and tending machinery. Following instructions from supervisors. Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 100 pounds etc.) Good hand-eye coordination Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus Communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safety rules Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary Must have reliable transportation to get to work Monday through Friday Pay and Benefits: This is a full time position with overtime opportunities that starts at $15 per hour and up based on work ethic and skillset. We have health care options with Kaiser Permanente with the company covering 50%, vision and dental options, paid personal days and retirement plan options. Benefits are accessible after 90 day probation You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety rules.
