We are looking for a qualified Environmental Technician to join a leading environmental firm in the Austin area. Preferred qualifications are an Associate’s degree in an environmental or science related discipline; however, there is no previous experience required for the position. The applicant must possess or be able to perform the following:
-Travel throughout Texas (50-75%) and have a valid driver's license;
-Be able to work independently and collaboratively;
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
-Basic knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel, etc.);
-Excellent time management and organizational skills;
-Physically able to lift 50+ lbs
Initial Work Responsibilities:
-Conduct field assessments/inspections throughout Texas (Stormwater, Phase I, Oil & Gas, TCEQ)
-Collect media samples (soil, water, air)
-Oversee remediation projects throughout Texas
