Description
We are looking for a Construction Manager who has a strong attention to detail, stellar organization skills, and is a great motivator. The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, supervising and documenting the on-site construction of prefabricated buildings. Duties/Responsibilities: Predict resources needed to complete project Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites Manage costs to meet budget Manage construction schedule and activities Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines Supervise to ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors Other responsibilities as needed. Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, construction methods, engineering, architecture, and materials. Ability to read and analyze architectural/structural plans, mechanical drawings, and specifications. Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment, excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to develop, communicate, and manage the workflow Ability to budget, negotiate, and control costs Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills. Proven record working in a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and project managers Ability to work with staff at various organizational levels. Experience with design/build, modular or panelized building systems is a plus. Applicant must be authorized to legally work in the U.S. No sponsorship is available. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture a plus 10-15 years of experience in construction as a site manager, superintendent or team leader for residential and/or multifamily full cycle in new construction Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, being outdoors, and walking on variable terrain. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Full-time Background check required Based in Austin, TX - travel required as needed for projects.
