Redmond Waltz is a company in the electric motor repair business in Cleveland, OH 44103. We repair industrial fans and gearboxes, AC DC motors, Servo motors, and industrial pumps. We are supportive, rewarding and collaborative. We are looking to add to our team a motor delivery driver with the opportunity to train as an industrial mechanic. That path isn't mandatory, but is available for the person that wants it. We offer 70% paid health insurance and paid holidays from day one (there are several coming up!) Our work environment includes: On-the-job training Safe work environment Company perks Growth opportunities Wellness programs Regular social events Relaxed atmosphere Redmond Waltz Driver/ Mechanic Apprentice Job Description Job Duties: o Perform duties including pre-delivery vehicle preparation, learning the delivery area, following proper delivery procedures. o Loading and unloading goods onto/off vehicle with tow motor or overhead cranes. o Deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. o Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers. Must be friendly and courteous towards customers. o Drivers must be prepared to work in any traffic, weather and timing according to his employer's business needs. Must be an adept driver and should always abide by all traffic rules. o Work as part of a team and enhance the company's image by complying with uniform and appearance standards. Contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork, energy `and fun. If interested in training as a mechanic: o Have a mechanical aptitude/ desire to learn. o Learn motor tear-down, parts-washing, etc. as the beginning to learning how to be an AC/DC Motor Mechanic. Requirements o Have a current driver’s license and be eligible for company’s insurance plan. o Be physically fit enough to be able to stand for long periods, bend, twist, kneel and lift 50 lbs. without injury. o Use at a basic level, computerized scanning devices, cameras and other common electronics. o Some rigging experience/ knowledge of how to use overhead crane and tow motor. o Fill out paperwork completely and legibly. o Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (eye, ear, steel toe shoes / boots, gloves, etc). o Keep work area clean and organized. o Willing and able to work overtime, weekdays and weekends, and be available to respond to customer emergencies. These are what we require of our mechanics, so keep these in mind for the future/ Things that would be great to have/ Extra Points: o Mechanical experience, welding, armature winding or any experience with electric motors. o Experience with surge testing, megger testing and using a multi-meter. o The ability to read blueprints, schematics and shop drawings. o Experience using calipers and reading micrometers. o Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, megger testing and using a multi-meter core-loss tester, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, tow motor, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems and various hand-held power and non-power tools. o Own your own tools A Successful Redmond Waltz Employee is: o Responsible - owns mistakes when they happen, comes through with commitments and is generally trustworthy. Is able to understand the work well enough to discern when instructions don’t fit the task, or the task has changed, and is willing to ask for help. o Ethical and respectful – of the company, the work, the people that work here and the work they do and of course, the customers.
