Requirements Being an emergency roadside service provider can be rewarding but it can also be demanding. To be considered for this responsibility please have the following with regard to: • Skills- Excellent communication skills • Credentials- As we offer rescue services for other companies as well as our own, we are contractually bound by certain requirements including: all service drivers must have a valid driver’s license with a record in good standing. To that you must also pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screening. • Characteristics- Helping motorists when they are stranded roadside can be challenging. They are often stressed and at times frightened by uncertainty. As such you will need to be understanding and professional. As we are a business of ethics, integrity, and empathy, we need our roadside representatives to share those same attributes. • Dependability- We will be here for you when you need us, and we would appreciate the same courtesy. The community depends upon us and we in turn need to be able to depend upon you for them Responsibilities As an Emergency Roadside Service Provider with P&M Automotive, you are a welcome relief in a moment of unplanned distress. You are helping someone in need. While representing us in the community, you will be responsible for: • Listening well to motorist issues to best provider service • Strategizing to determine the best course of action through testing and assessment. You are a roadside vehicle triage provider. Your knowledge and skills are key in determining the course of action. • Providing roadside assistance including battery testing, jump starts, lockouts, flat tire changing, and battery replacement. • Helping when not actively aiding the community. There is so much help that we would be grateful for at our facility. Which is why when not on a call, we have a number of responsibilities including organizing vehicle impounds, yard and shop assistance, and facility maintenance that can help us while also making the day move quickly for you.
