A socially progressive church in the Grant Park neighborhood is hiring folk musicians for a Christmas Eve Service. We're looking for instruments like violin, bass violin, cello, mandolin, banjo, percussion, etc... We can hire up to 3 to accompny our director of music on piano and lead vocals. Bonus if you play multiple instruments, or can sing harmony. Total hours required will be between 4-5, there will be one rehearsal a week before Christmas Eve, then a final rehearsal and sound check before the service. Pay is $100 per musician. Music will be a combination of sheet music, chord charts and improvisation. Covid-19 safety measures are masks will be worn by musicians and attendees. Social distance will also be maintained.
