BrightSide Animal Center is seeking a full time Intake Manager.
BrightSide is a high-save shelter dedicated to providing sheltering, placement and prevention services to reduce animal homelessness and unnecessary euthanasia. We believe that every animal that enters through our back receiving door deserves the chance to leave through our front door with a secure future.
The role of the Intake Manager is to process the admission of cats and dogs that are going to become part of the BrightSide Animal Center adoption program while understanding the resources of the organization at any given time.
An ideal candidate will be:
- comfortable handling and vaccinating animals, specifically dogs and cats.
- comfortable working with computers and have ability to quickly learn a new software.
- able to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of records.
- self-motivated, well organized, detail oriented, good multi-tasker, and able to effectively work independently and within a team framework.
- comfortable interacting with the public, both on the phone and in person, in sometimes stressful situations.
- reliable with minimal unscheduled absences.
- physically able to work on feet all day.
