Position Title: Assembler - 2nd/3rd Shift Wage: $15-$17+/hour Shift: 2nd, 3rd Hours: 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am Looking for your next career? Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Light assembly and packaging of product - Stack, move, and arrange product - Maintain expected productivity output levels and complete assignments as scheduled - Build assemblies to quality standards and print or work order specifications - Follow verbal and written procedures, including when modified by a Lead or Supervisor - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including after task clean up, returning tools to designated locations and swept floor - Flexibility in daily tasks, including rotating positions and changing work stations - Possibly operate minor machinery or equipment to aid in production processes - Adhere to company implemented safety standards, including (PPE), work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines Is willing to learn new tasks, procedures, and assemblies as needed - Listen, understand, and follow instructions while learning new assignments - Recognize unusual circumstances and ask questions to Team Leads when necessary - Requests are completed with a good attitude and by needed deadlines Requirements: - Manual dexterity and good coordination - Good oral and written communication skills - Basic reading, writing, and math skills (including adding, subtracting, calculating percentages, converting minutes to hours, and performing basic Algebra) - Basic computer skills for accessing and printing documents/labels - Ability to resolve minor problems, recognize normal and unusual situations - Work with manual and/or power equipment and tools - Proven mechanical ability or aptitude - Follow assembly simple production diagrams - Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment - Accuracy and attention to detail - Coachable and applies instruction immediately QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with nearly 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
