Small Vancouver-based company looking for someone to perform pressure washing, roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, and window cleaning services for both residential and commercial customers. This position will start out part-time with the goal of moving to full-time as soon as possible. *** $500.00 Signing Bonus after a successful 90-day probationary period *** Typical Daily Job Duties Pressure washing all types of outdoor surfaces Using safety equipment including but not limited to fall restraint systems, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and breathing respirators when spraying detergents. Placing and climbing ladders up to 40’ high (but typically only 2 stories) Roof cleaning typically includes: o Manual hand brushing roof surfaces to remove MOSS o Operating a chemical spray system (moss treatment spray system) o Operating a hand or backpack leaf blower to clean the roofing surfaces Gutter cleaning typically includes: o Walking along rooflines o Using fall restraint systems including harness and rope systems (when working on the roof) o Manual hand scooping gutters to remove leaves and other materials Window cleaning typically includes: o Walking along rooflines o Safely removing and cleaning window screens o Manually cleaning “exterior” windows using both squeegee and water fed pole systems NOTE: The above-listed tasks and job duties are typical for everyday jobs, but additional duties or tasks will often be required depending on the needs of each job. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position. Able to be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel objects, use tools or controls, speak and hear clearly. Ability to lift heavy items including ladders up to 90 pounds. Job Requirements Valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and ACCEPTABLE driving record. Reliable transportation is required. Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule: The schedule is dependent on the customer’s needs but most work is performed Monday – Friday between 8 am and 6 pm 3-5 night shifts may be required per month and they are typically clustered at the beginning or mid-month. Depending on commercial job requirements, additional night work may be necessary on occasion. Strong attention to detail Dedication to performing quality workmanship on every job Ability to perform in both a team and individual work environment Professional Appearance: Required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in uniform at all times. Bonus Skills Professional experience installing cedar fence and/or running a fence installation team Experience driving a truck and trailer Experience driving a box truck Prior experience working with commercial pressure washing equipment Prior experience in the roofing or roof cleaning fields Prior experience installing or cleaning gutters or windows Mechanical skills (to help with regular maintenance on the company machinery) Professional sales experience pertaining to the “home services” industry For a Lead Position (only): 2+ years experience in the roof cleaning and pressure washing industry To be considered for this position, reply to this posting with your resume or an introduction email introducing yourself and outlining any relevant prior work history. Compensation Compensation will be dependent on the skills and experience of each applicant. Base compensation will range between $20 per hour for junior-level applicants and up to $25 per hour for highly experienced applicants with lead/management experience. While the results will be reviewed and considered as a part of the hiring process, they do not automatically disqualify you from consideration. Drug Check: Due to the inherent risks associated with this industry, we have a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol, which means you will need to pass a drug test at the time of hire or within 30 days afterward. And yes, marijuana is a drug, even if legalized.
