Overview Small, fast-growing service business serving restaurants and facilities is seeking a Vendor Relations Supervisor/Quality Control Manager in a full-time role. Previous experience managing/overseeing work crews, preferably in a trade or similar, is highly preferred. We are looking for a seasoned/polished individual who can represent our company well. Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors, customers and other vested parties. Must be presentable and accountable at all times. Typical hours are a reasonable combination of typical business hours and nighttime work, however, the schedule changes based on the jobs/weekly vendor schedules and planned customer visits. The actual hours will be determined by weekly vendor schedules. We will strive to maintain a 40-hour work week on average, but it may fluctuate slightly from week to week. Please note we are looking for someone with experience as it relates to the description below. We offer very competitive guaranteed hourly pay, paid time-off and a paid company vehicle. Again, this is full-time position. Please do not apply if you are already fully employed and are looking, for example, to supplement your existing income. The hours, as mentioned above, are variable and one week does not typically look like the following week. We are looking for someone who is energetic, reliable and goal-oriented. We will spend considerable resources to train you on the type of service we provide, but we can not teach energy, reliability or attitude. Responsibilities > Continually direct, manage and perform evaluations on all service vendors. > Be responsible for all formal phases of service execution (“before”, “during” and “after” service). > Conduct (spot check) walk-throughs and inspections daily (both during service and after service). > Act as key liaison between vendors and customers, and vendors and internal office staff. > Ensure customers are continually satisfied with service levels and quality of workmanship. > Have intimate knowledge of key accounts, and special needs of each key account. > Have intimate knowledge of any special instructions to be followed for each service to be completed on a weekly basis, and be able to remind vendors of those special instructions. > Anticipate customer and company needs and act proactively to ensure those needs are met. > Provide ad hoc or on-going customer information to vendors, as needed. > Provide and/or assist in providing emergency assistance, as needed. > Put out “fires”, as needed. > Complete all reporting in a comprehensive and timely basis (daily and weekly reports required). > Participate in regular weekly and ad hoc staff meetings with internal office team. > Proactively follow-up with internal office staff on tasks assigned. > Continually search for possible new vendors that would positively impact company. > Collect payments from customers, as needed. > Complete special tasks for company, as needed. Requirements > We are really looking for someone who has experience overseeing vendors or other work crews in a trade or similar. > We will give priority to someone who is fluent in Spanish. > You must be able to work variable hours, and at time, off-hours. Most of our service work is conducted during off-business hours. > You must be able to easily and without hardship, climb ladders, walk on steep roof-tops and carry objects as needed. Additionally, you must: > Have a working understanding of technology: email, calendaring apps, job specific apps. > Own a smart phone and be able and willing to utilize different apps for the position. > Have valid driver’s license and clear driving record. > Be fully authorized to work in the United States. > Have clear criminal record (background check required).
