Job: Event Coordinator / Social Media Manager Part-time / Contract per event Pay: $15 per hour base with (bonus and commission based on proven results) We are looking for a positive, smart, independent, hands-on Event Coordinator / Social Media Manager who uses their problem-solving skills and determination to overcome challenges and ensure that events meet a client’s expectations. Their job is to provide a supportive role to the event planning team by contacting vendors, touring potential venue locations, recruiting, interviewing, and training new crew workers, helping with the set-up, execution, and cleanup of an event. During events, we also create promotional videos and advertisements to spread awareness about events to the public via social media platforms. We are MKETAG.com, we host community LaserTag events in public / private spaces with our 1500 sq ft enclosed laser tag arena indoors and outdoors at various venues. We are well established in the state of Wisconsin and now we are creating our footprint in Illinois starting with Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. FB: website: www.MKETAG.com Job Descriptions: Planning event details and aspects, including recruiting crew members, interviewing, training, scheduling, and managing our crew Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events Assist Event Director with remaining under budget with all costs (bonus pay if goals are met or commission if exceeded) Experience with social media marketing Eventbrite, FB event posts, Instagram, TikTok, Event Apps: NiteOut, Fever, Meetup, and others. You must have excellent customer services skills! We host events for kids, adults, corporate, fundraisers, fairs, festivals, and private events for celebrities; we provide a superior level for our guests at all times. The majority of our events are Friday nights, Saturdays, and some Sundays. This is a great position for someone creative, active, and looking for a part-time per event supplemental income.
