Description

Responsibility • The line operator is responsible for all tasks involved in operating line from start up to shut down occasionally rack, pack parts and move floor carts/skid around. • Start line, check tanks water/chemical level and temperature • Perform and log daily calibration of the line • Check and verify parts load with work order • Lift bar by hoist (crane) or by hand and transfer bar to the designated tanks as mentioned on work ticket • Follow work instruction and allow sufficient time for the bar to be in tanks. • Rinse and dry parts by water hose and blower once plating process completed. • Pull parts from the tank if part dropped in tank during process • Fill out all process steps on work ticket • Log completed work order data on daily production sheet • Notify Supervisor if any mechanical, tank issue or low tank chemical/water level • Attach work ticket with the completed bar and transfer cart to the packing area • Keeps assigned work and areas clean, litter free and safe at all times. • Manage time efficiently to meet and exceed Daily schedule Other duties as assigned by supervisor • Removes parts from containers inspect, count, and rack parts on the bar • Move completed skid to shipping area • Removes racks from the line/bar and stores racks when not needed • Keeps all unused racking and framing components in designated areas at all times • Suggest process improvements Qualification • Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently and safely • Ability to perform visual inspection on parts • Ability to operate semi-automatic hoist • Attention to detail and ability to be incredibly careful with fragile parts • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and work well with other • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instruction and procedure • Use hand tools such screw drivers, wrenches, pliers etc. • Preferred language is English Work Environment/Physical Demands • Proper PPE must be worn at all times. • Frequent use of hands and fingers. • Frequent reaching with hands and arms. • Constant in contact with chemicals • Must be able to lift heavy items. • Wear gloves and safety glasses • Ability to work in hot and humid production area • Constant standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting shifts • Mon to Fri, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional Overtime Benefits • Health insurance • Paid holiday • Paid sick leave
