We are currently seeking an individual to support the Property Manager in all areas of building maintenance and operations in North Vale, NJ. We are looking for a candidate who will maintain the day-to-day operations, while working closely with building personnel and contractors. This position is full time (Monday-Friday) 8:00AM-4:30PM. This position is a long-term temporary, set to start immediately. Job duties include, but are not limited to: •Assist carpenters, electricians, painters, and plumbing contractors by allowing access to tenant apartments, common areas, and/or maintenance rooms •Assist with minor and routine painting, electrical and other maintenance activities using hand tools •Working closely with the Regional Property Manager •Performs any combination of the following duties: All maintenance tasks, cleaning floors (vacuum, mop and sweep) carpentry, paint, and ground maintenance. •Maintaining grounds by observing and assisting, as well as following up with contractors •General repairs on the property •Prepare apartments for renting to new tenants •Perform and/or assist with the performance of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on all equipment such as: roof extractor fans/motor, boilers, generators, fire alarm system, pumps, compactor, air handlers, air conditioner, etc. •Keep and/or assist keeping of the proper records of materials and parts on hand, materials and parts used and received, preventative and correction maintenance on equipment, repairs to apartments and all service calls •Prepare and/or submit reports, service call log, requisitions and service calls •Ability to lift up to 50lbs Job qualifications: •Possess a general knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, grounds maintenance •Prior maintenance experience and light machinery required •Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions •Ability to work with people and deal effectively and compassionately with their problems; willingness to take initiative in areas outside of immediate responsibility •Good work ethic and positive attitude •Must be able to perform heavy work in exerting 100 lbs. occasionally, 50lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly •Ability to communicate well •Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Salary: up to $17/hr PLEASE SUBMIT A RESUME
