WAESN is (belatedly) celebrating our first anniversary at the and you’re invited! WAESN is (belatedly) celebrating our first anniversary at the and you’re invited! Although WAESN has officially been advocating for ethnic studies since March 2020, the ongoing pandemic has prevented us from gathering to celebrate all the amazing work we’ve been able to do over the 18 months. Given the current levels of vaccination, we finally feel like we can host a party...so we are! Not only are we celebrating our anniversary, we are also making this a fundraising event. There will be a silent dessert auction and donation envelopes for you to show your support for WAESN. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to fund our political efforts, advocating for ethnic studies in every Washington classroom taught by anti-racist educators. This is not easy work and we need your support.
