Please join us for the return of The Oakwood Historical Society’s very popular Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 4! This year's Oakwood Historical Society Holiday Home Tour includes five architecturally and historically significant homes in our Schantz Park Historic District, plus a very special tour of the original Frederick Patterson home. Guests should park and arrive at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior at 155 E. Thruston Blvd, and enter from the north facing side entrance of the original Patterson home (next to the playground--look for the signs). Please sign in approximately 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time, and allow ample time for parking in the church’s lot when arriving. The tour will begin with guests being shuttled by van to the Schantz District, and will then walk between each home. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be shuttled back to the Lutheran Church to enjoy a tour of the original Frederick Patterson home and light refreshments. Covid protocols will be maintained, including the wearing of masks while in the vans and shoe covers in the homes. All the homes are accessible only by a series of steps, and walking during the tour between homes is less than one-half mile on a slight upgrade. Board Member
