The Mall at Fairfield Commons offers a Sensory-Friendly Holiday Experience through Sensitive Santa®. The holidays are a magical time for families to experience the wonder of Santa and to create heartfelt memories together. Understanding that children with sensory sensitivities may require a more customized experience, The Mall at Fairfield Commons will offer Sensitive Santa®, a sensory-friendly holiday event. During Sensitive Santa, families will have the opportunity to meet Santa prior to the center opening for a quieter, more subdued experience, with the opportunity to support Autism Speaks. With each purchase of a photo with Santa, a portion/percentage of proceeds will be donated to support the mission of Autism Speaks’ important research and advocacy. This family-friendly event allows children with special needs to experience the annual magic of the holidays in safe, controlled environment, featuring alternative seating options for children taking photos with Santa, as well as muted lights, quiet music, and reduced center traffic to help lessen sensory stimuli. The Mall at Fairfield Commons is one of the premier retail centers in the Dayton-Springfield, Ohio, metropolitan area.
