Dispute Resolution Research Center (DRRC) & Institute for Policy Research (IPR)- Political Polarization Conference
The Kellogg School of Management, the Dispute Resolution Research Center (DRRC) and the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) at Northwestern University are pleased to host the Political Polarization Conference on May 20-21, 2022.
Our goal in organizing the conference is to generate novel, integrative insights into the causes and consequences of political polarization. Toward that goal, we seek to bring together around a dozen of the most interesting and influential scholars from disciplines like political science, psychology, sociology, management, and philosophy. The conference will include topics like: the state of polarization, echo chambers, fake news, motivated cognition, moralization, and anger/civility. We will leave plenty of time for discussion, perhaps including a broad concluding discussion of how an ideal body politic should function.
